I want to use twin aileron servos (flaperons) with a 5 channel receiver, so my second servo must be plugged into channel 5 not channel 6. How do I do that?
This will require 2 steps.
- First you must go into parameters and tell it to look for your second aileron servo to be on channel 5/6 rather than 6 or 7, which is the normal place for the programming to look: Press the Mode Key (twice if needed) to open the Basic Menu, toggle to Parameters and Press Dial, toggle down to AIL-2, turn dial to CH5&6.
- Now you need to actually go activate flaperons. Press the Mode Key Twice to open Advance Menu, toggle to Flaperon and press the dial. Activate the function, and adjust your rates as desired. Adjust Flap rates to decrease total flap travel of ailerons as flaperons as desired. Add flap trim capability (making the channel 6 knob operate your flaps for easy in flight adjustments) if desired.
NOTE: if you want to operate your flaperons as flaps on a separate switch, simply use the airbrake feature, or an offset mix. |
