I want to make sure that Idle 3 will not work if I hit that switch while in Idle up 1 or Idle up 2. Do I do this with the Logic switches?
This is a perfect example of how to utilize the Logic switches on your transmitter.
Let's say you have:
Idle 1 on switch G in the Up position
Idle 2 on switch G in the Down position (this leaves Center unused)
Idle 3 on switch H in the Up position.
To stop the Idle 3 switch from overriding the others, first go into your Logic Switch in the Basic menu. Press the dial to enter the menu and in LSW1, and at the top directly under LSW1, you will see the first switch selection. You will need to set this to the Idle 3 switch you are wanting to control. Below that is the POSI which you will need to set to the position that activates your Idle 3 mix.
Next dial all the way down to the second SW selection. Here you will set the position on a switch that you actually want Idle 3 to WORK in. In our case you would want this to work on Switch G in the CENTER position.
Now you want to tell these switches that Idle 3 can NOT work if Switch G is NOT in the Center position, you will need to dial back up to Mode and set this to "X/and".
You are now done!
